This Commercial Photography session was taken at my home in Yuba City!  We are so excited for our new flowers from Trew Luv!  We still love our flowers from Ginger Maurer, but are excited to add some variety with flowers from Jackyln Johnson!  She makes adorable flowers, some made with fabric!  We are excited to have both ladies homemade and amazing flowers available for your photography sessions!  We also thank Abby for being a great model!  She is a beautiful girl and always great to work with!

This Senior/Graduate Photography session was taken in Urban Marysville. What a fun session we had with Michael Depalma.  He was absolutely hilarious!  He had Amy and I cracking up the entire session!  I am sure he is the class clown at school.  Michael is graduating from Marysville High School where he plays baseball.  He drives an El Camino, so we incorporated that into his session! This Maternity Photography session was taken at our Wildflower location.  Renee and Henry were absolutely adorable!  They were referred by Jennifer Jaeger- Traynham.  Jennifer is one of our favorite clients.  We have had so many wonderful sessions with her family.  The Kalfsbeeks came from Woodland for their Maternity Photography session.  Their little one is due at the end of April. This Newborn Photography session was from the training I went to last weekend.  It’s not often that you get the chance of a lifetime like this.  As most of you know, I am an all over the place photographer. I can do weddings, seniors, families, and I can get any kid to do anything for a marshmallow. LOL  But with newborns I haven’t been as confident.  I have a pretty decent portfolio, but I have to admit that I was far from comfortable or posing properly. That being said, I was tired of being intimidated or stressed at my newborn sessions.  Right after Christmas I got this crazy idea to go away to Newborn training.   It just so happened that Kelly and Tracy two of  America’s best (in my opinion, no doubt) Newborn Photographers managed to make room for me to squeeze into their class.  I traveled to Omaha, Nebraska- YES that’s what I said, Nebraska in January!  When I arrived in Omaha the weather was supposed to be -22 degrees.  We do strange things for what we love!  I am so happy I made the trip across the country. This class was absolutely amazing and helped me find confidence in something I was not comfortable doing before.  I still can’t say what I will be specializing in, but after this year I will be slimming down to a specialty. Can’t wait to see what that will be!  Until then, thank you with all my heart to these two women for opening their home and studio to help photographers who want to better themselves.  In this field, it’s not often, from what I have found, to have friendly relationships with other photographers because they are competitors.  I say heck with all that nonsense, it’ more about helping people.  We were all there once and there’s more business out there than any one of us can handle.  What Kelly and Tracy do is truly amazing!   Check out their baby posing blog to see all their magic at http://kelleyryden.com/blog/.  These 2 are truly baby whisperers.  Can’t wait to start playing with our little marathon of newborns this month!

IMG_9993FBThis Newborn Photography session was taken in my studio in Yuba City. Baby Brooklyn Nauman was an absolute dream. This was our 1st Newborn Photography session since my training.  It seems real easy to do crazy poses when you are being assisted by 2 of the best Newborn Photographers, but doing it own your own is another thing. I am so happy with all that I learned.  I felt so much for comfortable with those Newborns. My sister and I make quite the team. We made it through the mad holiday season doing countless Family and Children’s Photography sessions.  Now it’s time to brink in the New Year with a bunch of little newborns.  Brooklyn kicks off our marathon of newborns. It just so happens that all of my pregnant clients had their babies in the past 2 weeks.  I can hardly wait to meet all of these babies.  I love the Naumen family.  I had so much fun on their maternity session, and couldn’t wait to for this Newborn Photography session.  One of my absolute favorite maternity pictures of all time was of Maria.  Click here to look back at the Nauman Maternity Photography session.

There will be Christmas Cookie decorating, Christmas stories, Christmas Carols, Arts and Crafts, Face Painting, food and drinks, and a fun Christmas tree auction for adults.  What a fun event!  We are so excited to be a part of this wonderful event.

Yuba City High’s Winter Ball is this Saturday, December 5th and we will be there taking each group’s photos from 8pm-midnight! We recently took the photographs for Yuba City High’s Sadie Hawkins dance which was so much fun!  It’s a pretty busy weekend and we have a lot of our staff out, but we have had wonderful mommies who have stepped up to help us out!  We have the best clients EVER!  Thank you so much!

We had a great session with the Marino Family.  We did some family photos, holiday photos, and urban photos.  The kids were so well behaved.  The Marinos have 3 kids and all of them were so patient and did whatever we asked them to do.   We were lucky enough to have grandma and grandpa here from the Philippines and were able to capture some family photos with them.  Thanks Marino Family!   We hope to see you again soon!

This commercial photography session was taken at my studio in Yuba City. I have been honored to be asked to shoot the covers for the Family Values Magazine. Amy Bullock is the editor of the magazine. She asked for a Holiday/Winter theme. The magazine should be arriving on your door steps in November. I did 2 sessions to try to get the absolute perfect photo. Peydon Warren came for a traditional outdoors shoot. We then did a mommy and daughter cookie making shoot with Lindsay and Peydon Warren and Emily and Hannah Fennel. What a fun little mess we had going on in my kitchen with these 4 girls making cookies! Thank you Amy for giving me the opportunity to shoot for such a fun coupon magazine!

This Senior/Graduate Photography session was taken at vairous locations throughout Yuba City and Marysville.   Libby and I had a wonderful time roaming around Marysville.   Libby ran the show.   She had so many great ideas.   Libby is a beautiful, 6 foot tall, cheerleader from Lincoln.   Her mom, Jill Edgar, works with my close friend Lori Meinking as a labor and delivery nurse.  To look back at the Meinking’s Family Photography session click here.   I was very honored that they would come to Yuba City for their Senior Photography session.   Libby was a blast to work with. This senior photography session was done in the streets of Marysville. All I can say is so much fun. This high school senior made my job so easy. Haydens big things in life are his classic can and his football. I was lucky enough to have him bring this really cool addition to our shoot. This classic car was passed down from the generations and it holds a very important place in haydens life. I dont know much about cars but haydens mom informed me about some of the cool stuff he has done to his car and WOW. I dont know how a high school senior could know so much about cars. amazing! well lots of fun clothing changes later and many adventurous locations and I want to say Hayden- we got some pretty darn amazing photos of you. I hope your mom is happy and has some great photos to look back and remember this time in your life as you wont be like this for long!
