This was my AMAZING Calistoga wedding we just did last weekend. You know its going to go well when the wedding itinerary says before the ceremony the guests will start out with a shot of patron and apple pucker. This was total spur of the moment totally spontaneous wedding and was amazing because of it. We got the call for this weddings only 30 days before the event date and had little time to plan. I was a little scared but in the end I have to say it was the most amazing experience I have ever had as far as wedding go. This wedding was 100% in the dark also. Yes they planned it so it was a night wedding. Very different but we were able to use what little light we had and make the most of it! The bride local owner of twigs gift store was  amazing to work with and the groom local artist and designer for jesse james ( YES JESSE JAMES of west coast choppers- WOW ). This wedding was AMAZING. I had no clue what I was in store for besides it was in Calistoga. I walked in that day with a full staff and an open mind and we rocked that wedding like no other.The bride and groom were soooooo easy to work for an so laid back. The words out of his mouth from the get go was do everything you ever wanted to do with your paying clients but cant. I want exactly the opposite of what everyone else’s pictures look like. That tall order to fulfill but it was what I had to deliver. WOW! I always say everything happens for a reason and I believe it does. This wedding was intentionally in the dark. I just went away to a FULL professional lighting training in June. IF I had not have gone to that training last summer I would NEVER have taken on that job. Because of my training I feel like we are one of the most competent wedding staff in northern California now. Because of my training we rocked that wedding. Well Michael and missy you changed my mind about thinking outside of the box and I hope I created a memory you will be sure to cherish for a lifetime. I LOVED every minute of every detail I captured. You both were amazing and wish you a bright future!

CHEERS to thinking outside the box as that is MTR’s new motto!

We can always count on our lighting boy to make us laugh!
This Yuba City Engagement Photography session was taken Melisa and Mike’s home and a private location in Marysville!  These 2 were so much fun!  They called us a few weeks ago and asked us to capture their wedding in Napa Valley in less than 6 weeks!  We were thrilled!  Both Melisa and Mike are very artistic, so they want us to break all of the rules of photography!  We never get much chance to do this because we try to be safe for our clients!  We are SO excited to test our boundaries and ecstatic to see our end result!  Mike and Melisa’s wedding is at Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley!  We don’t want to give away any of the secrets, so stayed tuned for after the wedding to see all of the amazing photos of this location, beautiful couple, and awesome wedding!  Thank you so much Mike and Melisa…. This Wedding Photography session was taken at the Carother’s home in Sutter and at various locations throughout Sutter!   Heidi and Troy were absolutely precious together!  This wedding was a complete fairy tale!  The Carother’s Family put a lot of work into preparing to host this wedding at their home and it was gorgeous!  We had a great time traveling throughout Sutter with Heidi and Troy to capture some amazing photos in their home town!  We visited Sutter High School where each of these two attended!  We had a great time with some fun shots of these two in the bleachers and on the field!  The ceremony was beautiful!  Many of Troy’s Coast Guard friends came out to witness this amazing day!  The Coasties formed a sword tunnel for Heidi and Troy to exit their ceremony.  The food was all homemade and wonderful!  They had a line of 15 or so waffle makers preparing waffles for an amazing brunch!  This was a spectacular wedding!  The Carother’s Family did an amazing job of planning their little girl’s wedding!  To look back at Heidi and Troy’s engagement shoot, click here.

reed3reed1This Wedding Photography session was taken at Gale Vineyards in Durham.  It was absolutely gorgeous!  We had so much fun figuring out how we were going to capture all of the beauty of the property in our photos!  Cindy and Jerry were absolutely adorable!  They were so calm and relaxed throughout this entire process!  What a sweet couple!  We had a great time capturing some amazing detail shots with Cindy’s dress and shoes and their rings!  Gale Vineyards is an amazing location! We hope to visit there again sometime!

This Graduate/Senior Photographer was a traditional and traveling urban session!  We started out at my studio with some traditional shots in Britini’s soccer uniform.  Then we traveled to Marysville to finish up with some urban shots!   Britini is getting ready to graduate from River Valley High School.  The Maddux Family was one of our first families to do an urban family photography session last year!  We have had so much fun with this family!  Congratulations Britini and thank you Maddux Family!

Moments to Remember has completed 3 successful Mommy’s Camera Classes. We have had a great time with all of the Mommies that have been through these classes.  We have had an amazing response to Mommies interested in attending, so we have added a few more dates!
