This Newborn Photography session was taken at my studio in Yuba City.  Baby Ava was such a doll.  We had a lot of fun with this adorable little sweetie.  She is the new baby sister to one of our daycare kiddos, Diego.  We have been watching Mommy’s tummy as it has grown with baby Ava and it was so exciting to finally have her Newborn Photography session.  We had a couple new props we had some fun with!  What a beautiful baby girl Belmonte Family!  Thanks for a wonderful day in the Studio!

This Newborn Photography session was taken at my home in Yuba City.  Baby Audrey was absolutely precious! She was such a little sweetie.  This new addition to the Vu family is just perfect! What fun we’re having trying all of the strategies I learned at my Newborn training. LIttle Audrey was 4 weeks old- yes 4 weeks old! In most cases your ideal Newborn is under 2 weeks old. So doing a 4 week old made me a little scared. My trainer Kelly Ryden said anything is possible – and she was right. Little Audrey was a dream. We got some good shots of her in and out of sleep for the first 3 hrs and we were all happy with what we got. Then at hr 3 she just melted in our arms. Then it was time to play. It just goes to show you really cant out a time limit on things. Some things take time- A LOT of time. My trainer said never give up- keep working and you will get it. She was right! I am so happy the way it all turned out.  We love having all of these Newborn Photography sessions right in a row.  Thank you Vu Family for another great session!  Your baby girl is adorable!

This Newborn Photography session was from the training I went to last weekend.  It’s not often that you get the chance of a lifetime like this.  As most of you know, I am an all over the place photographer. I can do weddings, seniors, families, and I can get any kid to do anything for a marshmallow. LOL  But with newborns I haven’t been as confident.  I have a pretty decent portfolio, but I have to admit that I was far from comfortable or posing properly. That being said, I was tired of being intimidated or stressed at my newborn sessions.  Right after Christmas I got this crazy idea to go away to Newborn training.   It just so happened that Kelly and Tracy two of  America’s best (in my opinion, no doubt) Newborn Photographers managed to make room for me to squeeze into their class.  I traveled to Omaha, Nebraska- YES that’s what I said, Nebraska in January!  When I arrived in Omaha the weather was supposed to be -22 degrees.  We do strange things for what we love!  I am so happy I made the trip across the country. This class was absolutely amazing and helped me find confidence in something I was not comfortable doing before.  I still can’t say what I will be specializing in, but after this year I will be slimming down to a specialty. Can’t wait to see what that will be!  Until then, thank you with all my heart to these two women for opening their home and studio to help photographers who want to better themselves.  In this field, it’s not often, from what I have found, to have friendly relationships with other photographers because they are competitors.  I say heck with all that nonsense, it’ more about helping people.  We were all there once and there’s more business out there than any one of us can handle.  What Kelly and Tracy do is truly amazing!   Check out their baby posing blog to see all their magic at http://kelleyryden.com/blog/.  These 2 are truly baby whisperers.  Can’t wait to start playing with our little marathon of newborns this month!

This Newborn Photography session was taken in my studio in Yuba City. Baby Brooklyn Nauman was an absolute dream. This was our 1^st Newborn Photography session since my training.  It seems real easy to do crazy poses when you are being assisted by 2 of the best Newborn Photographers, but doing it own your own is another thing. I am so happy with all that I learned.  I felt so much for comfortable with those Newborns. My sister and I make quite the team. We made it through the mad holiday season doing countless Family and Children’s Photography sessions.  Now it’s time to brink in the New Year with a bunch of little newborns.  Brooklyn kicks off our marathon of newborns. It just so happens that all of my pregnant clients had their babies in the past 2 weeks.  I can hardly wait to meet all of these babies.  I love the Naumen family.  I had so much fun on their maternity session, and couldn’t wait to for this Newborn Photography session.  One of my absolute favorite maternity pictures of all time was of Maria.  Click here to look back at the Nauman Maternity Photography session.

This Engagement Photography session was taken at Empire Mine in Grass Valley!  The Bride wanted to go to Empire Mine and I have to say, I was a little hesitant! I typically stay local but she it’s something she really wanted, so we did it. It is now one of my new favorite locations; I think we will have many sessions up there in 2010,.  It was absolutely beautiful, so many awesome places to take amazing photos. There were endless locations at Empire Mine.  We ended up roaming the whole location and shooting for hours.  We did have to trespass a little, but what’s an Engagement Photography session without a little trouble and fun, right?  We won’t show any of those photos this time!  LOL!    I can’t wait to capture Travis and Carolyn’s big day!  The wedding is at the beginning of June in Chico. This is also going to be a lot of fun! They have already excited me with many of the fun and funky wedding details.   This wedding is going to be one to talk about…   Stay tuned!

This 1^st Birthday Photography session was taken at my studio in Yuba City. We have been following precious Ava since she was a newborn! It is so exciting to be celebrating her 1^st birthday!  The Patane Family is always so fun to work with! I just love all of our photography sessions together! This Wedding Photography session was taken in Grass Valley!  December was so busy that I didn’t have time to get any blogging done.  But I couldn’t help myself with this one!  The Presswood’s wedding was absolutely beautiful.  There was snow on the ground which added a whole different look then we’re used to. I met the Presswood’s on Facebook.  We became such great friends because of our love for our little babies, we both have 2 adorable yorkies. Those of you that know me, know that I don’t have 2 kids, I have 4….  Buddy and Bella are my babies also.  They are the center of our universe.  Strange I know, but true!  Presswood family here is your peek… I can’t wait to start capturing your new life as you begin building your family.

This Family Photography session was taken at my studio in Yuba City.  Jena Bird is one of the VIP’s at MTR and Busy Bees.  She is our awesome, little worker and model.  Jena has been on her family forever to get a family photography session.  Finally we did it!  What fun!  Jena and her boyfriend Justin were our models in a spur of the moment decision to go to SAN FRANCISCO and capture some amazing moments between this madly in love couple!  Click here to view Jenna and Justin’s mock Wedding/Engagement Photography session in SF.

Oh and I almost forgot!   This is a crazy post!  People always want to see the difference between what comes out of my camera and what I do to design all of your amazing photos!  These pictures were so extreme that I wanted to have some fun and show the visual!  This is just a small amount of the editing that goes into our color crazy pictures. Our signature is color!  So this is a fun for people to see what the photos look like SOOC (Straight out of the camera).

This Family Photography session was taken at my home in Yuba City.  The Duncan’s are some of our VIP clients.  They have been seen 5 times just this fall!  Each time it is for another fun shoot of their kids or family!  This Children’s Photography session was of the cousins for the grandparents.  These  kiddos were absolutely adorable!  We had so much fun capturing them all together!  Thank you Duncan Family for another fantastic photo session!  We look forward to seeing you in 2010!
