His was our down on the farm photography shoot in yuba city. Jori is also a yuba City photogropher – well kinda- she loves photography just as much as I do and helps out with MTR events, so this shoot was right up our alley. her photography rocks! She is a very good friend of mine Jori has family that owns some very cool properties in Yuba City. Today we visited the stables. It was an adventure to say the least. I am not much of an animal person by nature so this photo shoot was a sight to see! Little Em was so good. I had along my Chelsea, Chaser and Lauren. They all had lots of fun riding and playing with the horses. Enjoy Jori!

This photography session took place in yuba city at various places. My kids have grown up taking lots of pictures having mom as a yuba city photographer, so this was a fun session. Chelsea and her friend Lauren Martin have been basically best friends since birth. If these girls could spend every waking hour with each other they would. They are like 2 peas in a pod. I had some fun stuff I have been dying to try and they wanted to play so away we went. I had a few places in mind but really we just drove and stopped where the girls wanted to. It was so much fun. These girls could not stop giggling that night they had such a blast. Our last stop was { starbucks }. The coolest place in town to them. Well whatever makes em happy right! Enjoy Mikah.

This was a fun shoot. The photography session took place in yuba city. This was a shoot for grandma Shirey. She happend to have all her grandbabies in one place at one time, as a photographer I knew I had to do an amazing job no matter what. One family is local and one family is in from Kentucky. The group shots were well… group shots but here were some fun ones. Enjoy!

This was mommy Katrina and baby Xavier. I did this session in my photography studio in yuba city. This baby was a dream as a yuba city photographer I thouroughly enjoy newborns just like him. He was totally awake most of the time but never said a peep. He was sooooo good. I am going to be using
Baby Xaviers pictures in one of my new Fremont Rideout offices I am displaying my art in. So you will all be seeing this little { Rock Star } up on the walls in our community soon.

These were just a few of the fun pictures I got at relay from Saturday. This was the 1st year I have done or even been to this even. It was amazing! It was such an fun day. Words can’t explain the feeling you get when you see just how many people have been affected by cancer. It was a very sobering day. It truly makes you appreciate just how lucky we really are to be healthy. I wish I would have taken more pictures of all our little helpers in action because it was honestly a sight to see. The biggest { little } helpers of the day were Chelsea, Darcy and Mason. Those Kiddos made a TON of snow cones and cotton candy. They were there every minute of our day and never stopped helping. I want to thank all my Daycare families for their support time and donations making this booth possible. Also Raychell needs a very special thanks as she was our team leader who kept us all in line. Next year I have a good idea what this event really is and we will get started much earlier and get many more families involved. Thanks again guys for such a fun day!

Hi Guys this year MTR and Busy Bees Daycare are doing a {Children and Laughter} booth at the 2009 Relay for life event. As you all know I do daycare and the photography as a side hobby. They really go hand in hand so what a better way to incorporate both for one fun day. I think it’s great because our little kiddos are learning lots about helping others in need. So our little Busy Bees are out in full force ready to make you the best snow cones and cotton candy you’ve ever tasted. So stop by and grab some for only $1.
We are going to have such a fun time.
See you there!

This was the Van Dusen Family. I saw them last year just about this time as they said farwell to their daughter Shelby when she went off to College. So much has changed in just one year for this family. Shawna is due in about 2 weeks and is having another baby girl. Well guys job well done tonight. See you when your little princess is born.

This was the Hodge family. These guys were so much fun to work with. You never know with one year olds how it’s going to go. This little princess acted like she was right at home. It was extremely easy to do my job. This is Jacobs 2nd round of pictures with MTR. The last time I saw him was 2 yrs ago at Easter. How time flies. This was Katelyn’s 1st birthday shoot and we also did Jacobs 4 year old pictures. Jacob was a hansom little Dude. He was sooooo cute!!! His fun for the day was dressing up like daddy. Daddy is a sheriffs’ deputy. Every little boy grows up thinking his daddy is just the coolest thing that walked the earth. This is the case with Jake. You can see in his pictures just how proud he is. Well Hodge Family it was nice seeing the entire family this time around and can’t wait to see you in a few mos for family pictures.

I am so absolutely excited! I have been working what feels like forever to build the portfolio that reflects the direction I want to go in photography. I love my old whimsical timeless style but as I have evolved as a photographer in the last year I am finding I absolutely love the creativity that comes from doing an urban funky shoot. I love the results I get when you just come say “michelle do your job” we play dress up and see what we get. My best shoots have come from clients who have been open to anything. Well my dilemma has been- how in the world do I incorporate my old style that made me who I am today and the style I really love. Well I still have some work on the site but it’s pretty near done. I don’t think I have to give up one style or another I think I can incorporate both fun styles into one label. I want to be that photographer who can be flexible. I just hope to offer something for everyone. I still plan of having the same poses and settings you love, just much more exciting clothing and sets. All of my clients love the fun new bright props and clothing. My assistants and hubby is going to kill me if I get one more prop. LOL. I have been working really hard to gather and purchase a complete high end line of props and clothing for kids of all ages so you can come to me and I can enhance your style whatever it may be. So don’t wait any longer and go check out your friends and family on my family site I have just revamped!!! Enjoy your stay.
On the note of studio- it still is in the works believe it or not. Its just completely out of my hands when you are dealing with engineering and planning and contractors. My dad a contractor up in Truckee has all my supplies all lined up we are just very back and forth on the changes that are being made. Never the less I have all the supplies I need to do my job in my tiny little room all of you have seen and I make the best of it. It just goes to show you don’t need some fancy studio to do your work. Although I will be so excited to get into my new studio here soon.
Well off to get prepped for what is going to be one of the most amazing weddings of the year! Next week I will be posting some of the images. This is going to be an amazing fairytale wedding setting happening in the middle of nowhere out in a beautiful pasture. The setting is amazing and beautiful. How this family is getting technology out to where we will be located is beyond me. They are expecting 400 people at this event. It’s going to be huge. Off to prep………
