This is a very special shoot. My Voudouris family who is quickly becoming a frequent and a good friend here at moments to remember photography. Kristin the Voudouris mommy just had the beautiful twins featured on my website. Well those twins had the most beautiful handmade birth announcements made by her good friend kristin also (confusing I know). These announcements were amazing- let me tell you. It just so happens she is a long time friend also. Well the twins mommy decided to thank her friend for all her hard work by purchasing her senior daughter a session to help remember her before she goes of to Chicago for college. This has been a big top secret mission we have been on trying to keep this a secret from Katherine’s mom for 2 weeks now. It is so funny because Katherine’s mom has wanted to schedule a session for this reason and we have been very lucky to get senior Katharine in before mom found out. Anyhow the cats out of the bag this week and enjoy. What a more precious gift than one of these fun memories mom can hold onto as her precious daughter starts on a new journey in life. I have to make on comment in aside to this really super fun story. This senior had to be to most fun and happy senior I have ever met. She was so much fun. I really had no need for poses as she pretty much was a natural. Best of luck Katherine on your new journey in life. I know you will do well.
A little blurb from the Voudouris mommy (kristin)-
Kristin, what a gift you gave our family…………..those amazing baby announcements you handmade………all 160 of them! Your friendship continues to be a treasure in my life! I wanted to give you and your mom a special thank you gift………..what better than priceless pictures of Katharine, as you prepare to send her off to college. You gave her roots, now she is spreading her wings! You blessed me and my girls; I pray this is a blessing for you and your girl! Love, ME
Thank you again Michelle for amazing photography!

This is the Darrach family. I had them earlier this year for Christmas and for a family session. This family is quickly becoming one of MTR’s best clients. Amber is my best word of mouth/promoter at the city of Yuba City my hubby always tells me. At our session today the kids were PERFECT! As you can see in these pictures these were happy little munchkins. Thanks Amber again for all you do and enjoy your peek!

Well I have officially added the votes. As of midnight the Ueberschaer boys were the winners of this exciting race. This was a close race. The Ueberschaers won by just 12 votes. Both will be winners in my eyes. These ladies tried so hard and really poured their heart into this fun event. You all have been good sports! Above is the picture that will be going into Nowinskis office next week. We decided to get a slightly closer shot as many commented they liked this one better. It’s all about what looks best in this beautiful soon to be doctors office gallery. Thanks so much for everyone’s support. Each of these 2 families will be awarded a complimentary 16×20 fine art metallic print for their hard work. So everyone ends up a winner. Next week I will have a mock up wall display showing you the wall of art titled “the circle of life”.

Wow is all I can say!!! It is amazing the response I have got from this poll. 1 little picture on 1 little wall in a Dr’s office= 1 big task at hand. This is going to be very difficult. I still have not even begun to add up votes as they are everywhere. I have had votes come in thru email, FB and people have posed votes to the actual families post and the N update post. Votes are everywhere. What a job this is going to be. I sure opened up a can of worms. LOL. I still say its really close as of last night. It is hilarious to me. I have to approve all these votes so every time I get a patch of 10 or so you get a ton from one family but then at the same hand the contender gets the same amount of votes. It has been like this the whole time. I just have to laugh. These families are serious about willing that spot. I love it. The blog has got hit over 2000 times in the last 3 days and we have almost 300 new visitors. That is just crazy to me. You guys have family!!! I think its great though. This has been a really fun thing. Thanks so much guys. The winner will be announced tomorrow morning. Only 12 hrs to go before the polls close…….

I have taken a quick peek and I say its a real close tie between the Hanson family and the Ueberschaer family. I am not even going to bother adding till tomorrow. All I can say is both of these families have interest in their children willing the spot. Both families have beautiful children and LOTS of friends and family chiming in from everywhere. With one more day left we will see what the #’s come in at. You guys are amazing. Your family support is phenomenal. The traffic on the blog is off the charts right now. I will update everyone tomorrow on the final #’s with only 48 hrs to spare as of now.

Hi Guys this is going to be fun. I am having a little contest. I am about to decorate Dr Nowinskis office with Canvases galore. Anyone who knows him knows he is one of the best and most professional OB’s in town. His staff and family are just as wonderful. This is a very hard task choosing my favorite pictures out of your families. I love all my families. But don’t worry this might be my 1st but it wont be my last office. So plenty more wall space in Yuba City to fill with your beautiful families. Well for the most part I have made decisions on my favorites but I need help with 1 picture. So I am opening up the polls to see what you want to see on the walls. The theme of my 1st wall when you walk in to DR Nowinskis office is the circle of life… It will start out with an engaged couple with a young man proposing to his future wife, then it will proceed to the wedding, then the maternity, then the baby, then the kids, then the settled in family, then the senior and more adult years then onto the Nowinski grandparents playing with their precious little grandbabies. That is the circle of life. How precious! Well I need your help deciding on a picture that represents the childhood years. You all know children are my specialty and the whimsy of childhood is my middle name. So cast your vote and you be the judge.
Here is what to do…
I will show the 4 nominees for the front lobby picture themed “childhood” in this post. All you do is just hit post a comment right below and let me know what you think… Easy stuff. The picture with the most votes will be the canvas winner. So tell one tell all!!! Email all your friends and family. VOTE VOTE VOTE. Just no creating fake profiles to make your favorite child win ( aprill ). LOL. The deadline is THIS Thursday.
I am getting this office done finally! Yea I am soooo excited! Just wait these images will melt your heart the second you walk in his doors. This is why I do what I do….

This little pumpkin was such a happy camper today, it made my job very easy. Dad had a special request for today. He wanted to get himself and his little guy in uniform. So cute! You can clearly see how much this dads loves his little Jr.Firefighter. Enjoy Darrin and Patti and thanks for another fun session.

These were the Voudouris kids, Alexana and Jack. We had so much fun doing their session. They were ready for the weather today in their rain gear. Little Jack lives in his rain boots and super hero cape so it was not up for negotiation that we had to capture this little dude in his gear. Little Alexana lives in her pockets tutu dressed up like a princess so that was a must to capture also. It must be a fun life being a super hero and a princess everyday. Have fun looking mom and dad!

This was the Ellis family. We had sooooooooo much fun at this session. This family was a dream. These kids were so much fun to work with. Little molly was quiet a poser. I really did not have to do much prompting with her as she was prompting me and the rest of the family on what they needed to be doing and how they needed to pose. In a very good way she was helpful. I see a future at moments to remember for her. LOL. Enjoy your beautiful familys pictures. You all were a joy to work with.

This was yet another fun session in the wild flowers with the Friant girls. They did a great job today. The Friant family started out as clients of mine one year ago and now are one of our very dearest friends. This family is just amazing. It seems like yesterday just 1 year ago we were in taking the same shots in these beautiful wild flowers. Oh how time flies. This is a very memorable place for this family. Enjoy your walk back down memory lane Mom.

Let the mini sessions begin…
Well my Smith family is back again and they brought her sister to experience mini sessions. Grandma was nice enough to get all the kids together for this day. She wanted some pictures of all her grandbabies. It was just a wee bit hectic but in the end their images turned out wonderful. This was my 1st session in the wild flower fields this year so this was all new territory. We ended up having lots of fun. We played tea party blew bubbles and played dress up. What more could a kid want? Enjoy your little glimpse of today and I hope I captured the true colors of your grandbabies.

Hi guys I think my work might be complete as far as sites go… Yea right my friends say. Seriously I think I am done. Now when you enter my site clients have the option to go to the blog, the wedding site, the family and children site or the NEW high school senior site launches just yesterday. I did this so people can go view only what they are interested in and not have to look thru themes that may not interest them. I still have some customizing to do for the senior and wedding site but at least they are up and running. By far my favorite is still my family and children site.
The new blogsite- all I can say is awesome! It is the coolest thing ever. I have earned that my blog is a crucial part of advertising, more important almost than my portfolio sites. This is where clients go to see the latest and greatest pictures and get updates on the new studio as it goes up etc. So the appearance may look similar but the features are crazy cool and unique. Check it out and enjoy your stay!

High School Senior models:
I just launched the new senior site and I need a few models. I need a cute senior couple to do some fun couples pictures. I need some samples for the MORP prom I am about to do for Yuba City high in may. If anyone has a senior in mind let me know….
Marketing Mommy:
I am looking for a mommy who is in tuned to our community. As I am launching all these divisions of MTR and soon to start construction on my studio I have to start getting involved in the community. With running my daycare & photography business it leaves me little time to do additional research about charity events and fundraisers that are going on in the community. I need to make it a point to get involved and donate this year as it is great advertisement for MTR. This position for now will be very simple and in return I would furnish your family with free photography. If this is you and you know about all the different events going on in our community contact me. In addition to the free photography as the need arises this will become a paid position. Not a very hard job and the benefits will be so much fun.
You can click on the contact form and drop me a line if this is you or someone you know- Or just add a commment and I will get back with you.

I have been off for January as I had a large job to complete. Well the job is done for the most part and I am back to what I love doing best for my clients- capturing your priceless moments. Today was my 1st day back and I have shoots everyday. What a week. Yikes!
Thanks to everyone of my clients who made 2008 a wonderful 1st year in business. The studio is still in the works, it is still in engineering and hopefully will have a GO here really soon. I am all ready with the plans and supplies. I am SO excited to get it going. This year is going to be absolutely amazing I already know it. I have just launched my Wedding site. It still has a few minor things I need to add but for the most part it’s done. I will be launching a hip new senior site in a few weeks. I really feel like the emotion you get from each of those sites are so very different that they really needed their very own site and style. Thanks so much to all my clients and all you have done to support me and my new business. We are off to Disney Land for a week from the 8-14th. If anyone needs assistance the business will still be running while I am gone and I am avaliable via email if you need me personally.
{ Here’s to a wonderful 2009! }
